RARE Federal 2 drawer mahogany work stand with brass inlay. Both drawers are partially compartmented for storage of needlework implements and threads. Turned legs on original brass casters. Measures 18.25" W x 18" D x 28.75" H. Excellent condition. Under one of the inside doors there is an inscription which says; East Haven September 1853. It is my wish that my niece Ellin E Bradley shall have this work stand when she becomes of age to which 18 years old. James A Bradley and E A. Mahogany needlepoint firescreen c1800
Mahogany adjustable pole fire screen, American or English, circa 1790 to 1810. Tripod base ending in scroll feet. The screen, beautifully worked in needlepoint and petitpoint, was copied after French artist Jacque Louis David's iconic portrait of Madame Recamier, in shades of pink, blue, pale gold, and sage green. The pole is 52.75" H, and the base is a 16" triangle. The oval screen is 23" W x 18" H. North Indian blackwood low oval table with crossed stretchers. Made circa 1880, possibly in Nagina. Hand carved in profuse detail with flowering vines and scrolls. A 6 pointed star is carved on each of the 4 vertical panels above the stretchers. The table measures 24 inches wide by 18 inches deep by 22 inches high. Antique honey color pine 6 board blanket chest on bracket base circa 1760-80. Beautiful clean surface. Finely cut dovetails. Excellent condition. Measures 41" W at the moldings and 39.5" W at the case; 21" D at the moldings and 20" D at the case; and 24" high.
