Moore was born in 1824 and died in 1902 in Kensington, CT. The painting is in very good condition. It has been mounted in a new gold leaf frame appropriate to the period. The frame measures 12 by 13 and one half inches, the painting measures 6 and one quarter inches by 7 and three quarter inches. It is signed with the Moore studio stamp and in pencil on the back.
