Millicent Baron (1930-1981) was born and grew up in New York City. At the age of 16, she graduated from the High School of Music and Art, as a markedly talented art major. For awhile, she attended Temple University's Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia. Sadly, her promise was cut short by the twin assaults of schizophrenia and multiple sclerosis. Her few extant paintings were all done during her teens and early twenties, including one of her caregiver, Edna . The last decade of her life was spent in a private nursing facility. Good as found estate condition with some old restoration. The frame measures 41 by 47 inches and the painting measures 25 by 40 and one half inches.
