Stamped on back Atsco OSCAR 8911 1/2 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles. This model was used by artists for figure positions. The model measures 20 inches high and so does the stand. He wears a powdered wig, a red waistcoat, brown topcoat, and white ruffled shirt. His eyes are dark blue and his eyebrows are distinctively arched. Unsigned. Restretched, cleaned and restored. The original stretcher was dated 1784. Purchased in Vienna in the sixties. Canvas is 19.75 x 27 inches; original gold leaf frame is 22 x 29.5 inches.
