"Fleeing the Flames" oil on board by Andre Albert Marie de Segonzac. Signed lower left Ad Segonzac. Sight 11 by 14 inches. Framed on Gold leaf Frame.This finely executed painting truly gives the unmistakable impression of hellish lapping flames around a figure running from the flames and black smoke. Andre Albert Marie de Segonzac a French artist is well listed. He was born in France on July 17th 1884 and died September 17 1974. Sam Zeigler pencil and graphite drawing of a clown c1910. Study of a juggling clown;singed Sam. B. Zeigler lower right. Sight; 10 by 16 inches. Nicely reframed. Born in Austria in 1891 died 1962. Zeigler is well represented in the Newark Historical Society permanent collection. Zeigler was a teacher at the Newark Free Academy Drawing School.

Abstract composition oil on canvas by American born artist Benno Benjamin. Signed "Benno" and inscribed as titled 9 rue Campagne 1es Paris (14 ere) on reverse. Nicely re matted and framed. Overall; 21 inches high by 16 and one half inches wide.. Benno was born in America of Russian Jewish heritage and on the death of his mother in 1905 was sent to his grandparents in Russia. He remained there until his father brought him back to New York in 1912. As his father was an anarchist; he placed his son in a school affiliated with the anarchist movement in New York. At the Ferreer School, he had the opportunity to study are with Robert Henri and George Bellows amercing himself in the art community that included such members of the Stieglitz circle as Abraham Walkowitz and Man Ray. He is a very well listed artist and is in many important collections world wide.
