This well executed painting measures 53 by 78 inches inside its original frame that measures 82 and one half inches by 58 inches.John Charles Terelak is recognized as one of America's finest living impressionists. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, he received formal art instruction at the Vesper George School of Fine Art. A full size Self portrait nude drawing of the artist siting in a saddle by CT artist Midge Beecher. Midge Beecher grew up on the Jersey Shore (Middletown) where her mother was a popular artist. Like most other children who often try and separate themselves from the interests of their parents, she could not help but be influenced by a house full of paintings, drawings and tools of the trade. Education: Skidmore College (1970's) - drawing. The Lyme Arts Academy (1980's) - figure drawing. Wesleyan University (Middletown CT.) - figure drawing, print making, and photography. Midge has a MS in Physical Education from Springfield College with a concentration in Biomechanics - the study of human movement.This wonderful drawing framed measures 87 inches high by 38 inches wide and 1 and one half inches deep.
