Artist "Bernard Corey" paintings,American Gloucester artist. This is a fine example of Bernard Coreys work. Oil painting on canvas.Bernard Corey is a very well know Gloucester artist. Born around 1916 died this last year. The buyer of this painting will get two paintings in one. There is a completely finished painting on the opposite side. Signed lower right. Painting measures 9 inches by 14". Hand carved gold leaf frame measures 15 and one half inches by 20 and one half inches.

"Antique marsh scene",Antique watercolor Marsh scene by Jennie (1872-1961) and Fannie Burr (1858-1931).This American landscape watercolor measures 10 inches by 13" overall 17 and one quarter inches by 21 and one quarter inches. They were 2 of 5 children born into Monroe, CTs most prominent family. Their father was a very successful farmer. Although the 2 sisters were 14 years apart, they were close. Fannie began to draw as a child. She later attended and graduated from the Yale School of Fine Arts. After that, she studied at the Art Students League in NYC. These accomplishments were very rare for a young woman in those days.
