We were told by the owner that the thought the Ranger was Vanderbilts yacht. This painting depicts sail boats in NewPort Harbor on a wonderful well lit sunning day. Gourgeous pastel like colors. The condition of the painting is excellent just in from a local CT River Valley estate. There is no inpainting under a black light. The signature does have some florescence but that is because she painted it with cadmiun red. The canvas of this Sturtevant oil painting is 20 inches high by 29 and one half inches wide.
