English watercolour by "Fredrick E J Goff" Antique English water color,The Strand, painted by artist Fredrick E. J. Goff. Watercolor on paper c1900. Signed on lower left The Strand 1900 Fred E. J. Goff. Image measures 4 1/2 inches by 6 inches, frame 10 1/2 inches by 9 inches. Excellent condition. A similar water color by Goff was sold by Sothebys in Billingshurst West Sussex,the lot # was 156 and it was sold on 5/22/97.

Each antique portrait measures 10 and one half inches wide by 13 and one quarter inches tall outside the frame. Each image within the frame measures 8 and five eigths wide by 11 and one half inches high. These are wonderful portraits in estate condition and are probably English.

Jennie Fannie Burr watercolor,Burr Watercolor, Antique Burr Watercolor. This "Antique Burr Watercolor of New Haven Skyline circa 1900" measures 16 and three quarter inches wide by 12 and five eigths tall outside the frame. The image of this antique Burr watercolor measures 9 and one half inches wide by 5 and one half inches tall. This wonderful watercolor is unsigned and was painted by either Jennie or Fannie Burr.Fannie and Jennie Burr. 1872 to 1961 and 1858 to 1931. They were 2 of 5 children born into Monroe, CT's most prominent family. Their father was a very successful farmer. Although the 2 sisters were 14 years apart, they were close. Fannie began to draw as a child. She later attended and graduated from the Yale School of Fine Arts. After that, she studied at the Art Students League in NYC. These accomplishments were very rare for a young woman in those days. List in Who Was Who in American Art by Falk. Exhibition at the New Britain Museum of American Art New Britian CT. Catalogue of work produced by The Connecticut Gallery Inc.
