Ward Henry Rogers oil on canvas of Fourth Ave and 33rd Street, This oil on canvas by American Impressionist Artist "Ward Henry Rogers" was exibited at the Berlin Exibition in 1903. Excellent conditon with a professional relining,signed lower letf. Just in for the Dun and Brad Street Art Collection. This lovely painting measures 27 by 36 inches the frame adds another 4 inches. See Who Wha Who In American Art by Falk page 2701.ONe of the leading"Tonalists" of his day. He was responsible from bringing many of the Artist to Old Lyme CT which became one of the most important artist colonies in America. Addressess, Old Lyme CT 1899 to 1904 and Noank CT1905 to 1916. Ward Henry Rogers bequeathed his entire collection and estate to the NAD for the establishment of the "Ranger Fund" to buy paintings to be donated to U.S. Museums.

A landscape drawing in pencil by Jennie or Fannie Burr. "Antique Pencil Drawing" . This landscape drawing by Jennie or Fannie Burr measures 26 and three quarters inches wide and is 19 and one half inches tall, outside the frame. The image of this antique pencil drawing, within the mat, measures 18 and one half inches wide by 11 and one quarter inches tall. "Burr sisters Connecticut". Fannie and Jennie Burr. 1872 to 1961 and 1858 to 1931. They were 2 of 5 children born into Monroe, CT's most prominent family. Their father was a very successful farmer. Although the 2 sisters were 14 years apart, they were close. Fannie began to draw as a child. She later attended and graduated from the Yale School of Fine Arts. After that, she studied at the Art Students League in NYC. These accomplishments were very rare for a young woman in those days. List in Who Was Who in American Art by Falk.
