Antique Leather Screen with still life hand painted floral paintings, This "antique screen" has three panels that each measure 70 inches high by 20 inches wide. This "hand painted screen" dates from the mid 19th century and is one of the most beautiful screens we have every handled. The hand painting is extremely well done with wonderful rich colors and the flowers are life like in detail.

Antique French womans portrait oil on canvas c1780. This antique "French portrait of a woman" dates from the 18th century and was done by a master. The frame and stretcher are original. Museum quality French portrait of a beautiful courtesan with flushed cheeks and deep decollete. She appears in a natural setting with trees silhouetted against an evening sky. The billowing sleeves of her white gown are wrapped with pearls, and a blue green wrap is loose about her shoulder. Unsigned. Professionally cleaned and in excellent condition. Frame 31 and a half by 36, canvas 24 and a half by 28.

American impressionist watercolor landscape, This "American landscape" measures 22 and one eighth inches wide and is 18 and one eighth inches high outside the frame and the image measures 18 and one quarter inches wide and is 9 and one half inches high.They were 2 of 5 children born into Monroe, CT's most prominent family. Their father was a very successful farmer. Although the 2 sisters were 14 years apart, they were close. Fannie began to draw as a child. She later attended and graduated from the Yale School of Fine Arts. After that, she studied at the Art Students League in NYC. These accomplishments were very rare for a young woman in those days. List in Who Was Who in American Art by Falk. Exhibition at the New Britain Museum of American Art New Britain CT. Catalogue of work produced by The Connecticut Gallery Inc

Antique Maria Holley oil painting. This "American Landscape" painting was painted by American artist "Maria Holley" This lovely painting is in excellent condition and measures 10 inches by 16 inches with a 15 by 21 inch frame.Maria Holley Ws born in 1822 and died in 1890.There is a Maria Holley museum located on Route 44 and Route 15 in Lakeville CT which was just recently placed on the New Connecticut Women's Heritage Trail. Maria Holley came from one of the leading Industialist families in the area during the 19th century.
