Rue Du Parc London. 149 New Bond #821141 and Bought from Arthur Gilmore Inc 16 East 52nd Street New York.This is a very early piece of Vuitton luggage. Very good original condition with the exception of some staining on the inside and the separation line in the back where the top hinges on its leather which is typical for this type of Louis Vuitton luggage. We have provided photographs of all sides of the piece along with the inside. This is such a sweat size it measures 24 inches wide by 8 and three quarters high by 15 and one half inches deep. This would make the perfect coffee table if a base were made for it. We just acquired this piece form a lower CT River Valley estate.

"Wooden Horse Heads". A fine and true pair of wooden carved, life size mirror image horse heads, with excellent detail and original paint. The wood carving was obviously done by a master carver. There were many famous wood carvers that did life size animal carvings for carousels.This carving is as good as any we have seen.To see similar examples of this quality carving from the mid to late 19th century see "The Carousel Animal"by Tobin Fraley with pictures by Gary Sinick Zephyr Press c1983. When she held a two week exhibition in picturesque Laren, just outside of Amsterdam 12,000 people came and it was a complete sell out. H. R. H. Prince Bernhard spent several hours at the exhibition, followed a few days later by his daughter the Crown Princess Beatrix, both collectors of Miss Dreemanns work. She authored countless books and articles on embroidery and related subjects. The precious and semi precious stones are all set in gold and cut to her specifications,drilled and or set so that the could be stitched on the background material,which was woven especially for her in Italy. She received Knighthood in the Order of Oranje Nassau,conferred upon her by H. M. Queen Juliana of the Netherlands.
