This bronze antique sculpture was very well cast. It is signed B. Boschetti Roma. Benedetto Boschetti was active between 1820 and 1870. He had a shop at Via Condotti #74 where he sold his bronzes, marbles, and decorative objects. He was also known as a mosaic artist. His bronzes were primarily fine copies after famous classical antiquities. The original Dying Gaul, now lost, was a Greek bronze sculpture created around 225 BC. This Boschetti "Dying Gaul" bronze measures 24 inches wide, 12 and one half inches high by 10 and one half inches wide. The marble base is a lightly veined maroon color, measuring 2 and one eighth inches thick. The figure retains its original matte olive brown patina. Both figure and base are in excellent original condition.

This wood sculpture measures 45 and one half inches high overall. The figure measures 43 inches high and 24 inches wide by 14 inches deep. The base measures 2 and one half inches high by 20 and one quarters wide by 14 and one half inches deep. Excellent carving detail and wonderful old gilt patina. Guandi, or Guan Yu, was an intrepid military general and hero during China's Three Kingdoms period, about 1,700 years ago. He is remembered for his kind heart, loyalty and patriotism. He is shown wearing armour with celestial scarves framing his head.

This family crest of "Coat of Arms" was carved into a solid stone. It is quite heavy, in excellent condition, and measures 28 inches high by 23 inches wide by 2 and one half inches thick. This coat of arms was probably made between 1880 and 1930. The nature of stone makes it difficult to date exactly. It is a very impressive ornament.
