Rare Charles and Ray Eames plywood leg splint circa 1940. Model S2-1790 from the Molded Plywood Division of the Evans Products Company, Los Angeles, California. Measures 42.5 high x 8 wide x 4.25 deep. These beautifully sculptural splints were made for soldiers injured in the Second World War. The original shipping label is included. We have seen advanced collectors of all things modern display these splints as wall sculpture.
