Cecile Dreesmann Turquoise Tree needle sculpture.. From the Series "Out of my Dream Garden" with turquoise and Freshwater Pearls. Measures 5 inches by 6 and one half inches.Cecile Dreesmann was born orn and raised in Amsterdam Holland. Exhibited in Brussels Hamburg Cape Town Singapore Bangkok Hong Kong Honolulu Tokyo Rio de Janeiro San Francisco Palm Beach "The Potted Orange" Gallery Hammond Museum NY England Canada Mexico Holland Paris and Germany. When she held a two week exhibition in picturesque Laren just outside of Amsterdam 12 000 people came and it was a complete sell out. H. R. H. Prince Bernhard spent several hours at the exhibition followed a few days later by his daughter the Crown Princess Beatrix both collectors of Miss Dreemanns work. She authored countless books and articles on embroidery and related subjects. The precious and semi precious stones are all set in gold and cut to her specifications drilled and or set so that the could be stitched on the background material which was woven especially for her in Italy. She received Knighthood in the Order of Oranje Nassau conferred upon her by H. M. Queen Juliana of the Netherlands.

Antique Pre-Columbian hand carved stone head measures 1 and one half inches. This hand carved antique head appears to have pigtails. Collected in South America in the sixties.

Vintage car mascot This Silvered bronze Ballot Trumpeter by Emile Edmond Peynot card mascot c1922 is in excellent condition. "Car Mascots" were used as hood ornaments and were designed by famous artist. This area of automobile memorabilia is highly prized by collectors. This "Ballot Trumpeter" by "Emile Edmond Peynot" measures six inches high and 8 and one half inches with its stand. See Motoring Mascots of the World page 102 #380 for a similar example.

Bruno Giorgi Brazilian bronze sculptor was born in Mocoa near Sao Paulo Brazil and moved with his family to Italy in 1911. Studied in France. This modern bronze sculpture measures 9 inches high 4 inches wide 11 inches high with base. It is signed on the bottom of its original rosewood base.See Latin American and Caribbean Artists of the Modern Era by Steve Shipp page 277 or New Brazilian Art by P M Bardi page 154 for more information on this important Brazilian artist. A half relief Japanese wooden carving of a karashishi and her cub. The female shi shi is shown with her right paw resting gently on the back of her cub. Fine detailing to the curly main and tail. Condition is very good a few very minor nicks as wood be expected for a piece that dates from the 1850 to 1860 the late Edo to very early Meiji period. The piece measures 16 and one quarter inches long by 6 and one quarter inches wide and 3 and one quarter inches thick.
