He was best known for his association with Japy Freres & Company, the noted 19th century Paris clockmakers. Your gilt-metal and hand-painted porcelain urns were made circa 1870, in the Second Empire style. They were originally part of a three or five piece mantel garniture set, featuring an elaborate clock as the centerpiece. Each urn measures 14 inches to the top of its finial. The P H Mourey stamp is on each of the bronzed bases the vase sit on. Very good as found original condition with hand painted flowers and wooden bases.
