Tiger maple Federal period chair with acanthus back, cane seat and saber legs. Connecticut circa 1810-30. Beautiful condition. Measures 34 inches to top of back, 17 3/4 inches across its front, 18 inches deep and 17.5 inches to top of seat. Please see #2435 Wallace Nutting's Furniture Treasury for a similar example.
