The Eldred Wheeler firm was founded by Emmett Eldred and Bill Wheeler in partnership beginning in Hanson, Massachusetts in 1982. Their goal was to produce handmade copies faithful to the designs of the finest colonial furniture produced in New England from 1700 to 1820. A handmade chest in the Chippendale style. The serpentine “Oxbow” top with molded edge above four graduated drawers with original ornate “batwing” brasses, above the molded base raised on shaped bracket feet with scalloped returns. SIZE: 34.5” h x 37.75” w x 20” d. Case is 35” w. A beautiful, well-executed piece of reproduction Colonial furniture by the Eldred Wheeler company. Eldred Wheeler is no longer in business making American country furniture. They reproduced the finest examples of period American furniture.
