Early D. R. Dimes country pine dining table with its original Old Sturbridge Village stamp. D.R. Dimes built tables that were sold by Old Sturbridge Village. He used the OSV embossed stamp on these tables; the stamp is shown in one of the images. The table is hand crafted with wooden pin construction, through-mortised breadboard ends, and handmade nails. The legs were mortised through the top; this method of joinery was unique to early Dimes tables. Strong hand block-planing to the three wide pumpkin pine top boards. The top has gentle wear commensurate with its age. Measures 34" wide by 72" long by 29.5" high.
