Darryl Begay signed sterling silver and turquoise Native American Indian pendant in excellent condition. Measures 3.5 inches high by 1 and 5/8 inches at top. Signed on the back. Darryl has created his own niche in the Native American art world. His unique style of jewelry, is rich in Navajo culture and hand-made with skills that are his own. Combining the tufa casting technique with lapidary inlay and fabrication, his jewelry has become sought after world wide. He learned tufa casting from his uncle Bobby Begay; his mentor, Raymond C. Yazzie, taught Darryl how to inlay stones. He creates one masterpiece at a time using only top grade materials. His knowledge of turquoise is excellent; he learned from some of the best in the business.
