New Guinea carved wood crocodile canoe or "crocanoe" with center lidded box. Sepic River area, early 20th century. Measures 20.5" long x 3.75" wide x wide 8.25" high. There is a break to the man's neck and a chip to the nose of the crocodile on the vessel lid.

Fine miniature Federal style mahogany jewelry chest with slide-out shelf and solid brass pulls. Circa 1940-50. Hand made from solid mahogany with hand-cut dovetailed drawers, graduated drawers and French feet. The chest is 14 inches wide, 14 inches high, 9 inches deep at center, 7 inches deep at sides and 15 inches across its French feet. The graduated drawers are 2 5/8 in 2 1/8 in, 2 1/8 in and 1.75 in. This is an exact reproduction of an American Federal period chest from circa 1800. Excellent condition.
