The vase looks great! Rivaling it for greatness, I should add, is the job you did packaging it safely! I installed the vase in my curio cabinet – that was a bit of work, because I had to drill new shelf holes to accommododate the vase's height – but it was well worth the work: the vase takes on added beauty from its surroundings. Mr. Perry, I just want to take a moment to respond with a hearty thank you for being out there with this information! Until I punched in "filigree" along with antique/brass/hanging/Indian/etc......I wasn't pulling up any pictures that resemble what I have. My Dad was an art/antique/music box collector-dealer who left behind many items I have hung onto, but never knew the approximate value of. I have one such fixture with the same lattice-type work, but it is taller, in that it has a more domed top/shape. It also only has one bulb. Now, I'm off to check your response on the cloisonne lamp...... Thanks again.......I'm glad to know you're out there.

Dear Mr., Ms. Perry, The screen arrived on Friday with the predicted UPS rigmarole. They did their usual "you weren't in" [because we didn't feel like walking up the stairs] routine and I had to call the dispatch office here in NYC and threaten them with bad press should anything happen to the piece. It was delivered shortly after that. Do thank Christine at your local UPS store. She was as helpful as she could have been and expressed sincere apology at her company's ineptitude. We cooled him down with some lemonade and chatted for a while. there are no words to describe the beauty of that cage other than I watched the cage more than the preseason football game that was on. Just wanted to write and let you know that the above item arrived here this afternoon. It is in perfect condition, even the glass, which is quite a relief! I usually have pretty good luck with things I have shipped, but occasionally something goes wrong. This was one of those packages I was praying over! The needlework is lovely and the highlight of my collection, just as I had anticipated. If you ever receive anything else in of this type, please don't hesitate to drop me an e-mail. While many collectors like the more traditional sampler, it is the all over needlepoint that I enjoy so much.

Hello Tom, The bedroom set arrived in perfect condition on Saturday. We are thrilled with the set! Dave wanted to set up the bedroom set right away and has been sleeping in the bed since it came. The only problem we had was that none of our box springs would fit in the bed frame. So Dave and I took out our handy dandy tools and shortened the box spring by a half inch. It fits perfectly now! We just wanted to let you know how happy we are with the set and we wanted to thank you. When we sent off a cashier's check for $5000.00 to someone we never met it was a little nervewracking. Thanks for making sure the transaction went flawlessly. Dave and I are on vacation next week. We hope to be in your area to maybe do some antiquing. Hello, I recieved the wonderful Italian pendant today. I am delighted with it.You probably know that it;s a protective/ magical / talismanic piece, worn by Stregas (witches) as well as by ordinary folk. I believe the tree is actually a sprig of rue,known as 'the herb of grace'and some round marks on on the branches may be interpreted as an indication of a branch of coral. I can't quite make out the symbol between the angel and snake, nor do I know the significence of the (male)persons on the chains posture or what they hold. Wheat? Do you know? I'll be checking your great site !

Thank you so much for the information. I, obviously, am an antique dealer and I have this sculpture with a clock. The clock is red marble with bronze figures on the sides. The face of the clock also has Barbedienne on it. I bought this in France with my last container, and I took it home! I love it!!! All of the inscriptions are the same as you have described on the sculpture. I am glad to know that you are there, as there are so many things that I am unsure of, and I never want to mislead a customer, if I can help it. Thanks Again,

They are both gold, good quality, and were purchased during the sixties (I think). They are not signed like the Martinez bracelet, or antique, so I'm not sure if you will be interested in them. Hi Thomas, The andirons arrived Thursday afternoon. They're beautiful and just as pictured. They really show the handmade workmanship. They are very heavy. We just love them! They will certainly carry on the tradition of warming a cozy hearth. The Boston Truck Company called Thursday morning and asked if it would be all right if they delivered the items in late afternoon. They were in Chicago but were making deliveries along the North Shore in the morning. We chatted and I gave them directions to our home. The two men were very nice and carried the andirons into the garage for me for storage until our construction is finished. Thank you again, it has been nice doing business with you.
