Pair of Antique Portraits Horace Bundy oil on canvas. This true matched pair of American Art portraits date from the mid 19th century in America and were painted by the well known artist Horace Bundy. The original frames measure 29 and one half inches by 34 and one half inches and each canvas measures 23 and one half inches by 28 and one half inches. Horace Bundy, portrait and landscape painter, born in 1814 in Hardwick, VT, died in 1883, Concord, NH. Worked as an itinerant artist in New Hampshire and Vermont during the 1840s and 1850s and was also a licensed Adventist preacher. Only 17 portraits done during this time are known and all were done in Springfield, VT or Claremont, NH. Oil on canvas, restored several years ago by an expert.
