Bronzed gilt metal Louis XV rococo style beveled glass vanity or dresser mirror marked NB & IW, for the National Brass & Iron Works of Reading, PA, established in 1891. NB & IW specialized in manufacturing fine decorative brass and iron objects until it went out of business in 1911. The number 2002 is a production number, not the date it was made. The back of the frame bears the impressed mark "NB & IW" on the lower left hand side and number "2024" on the lower right. This dresser mirror is first quality with beautifully detailed casting and heavy, strong back support ending in a swag design base.
