Charming French pair of pastel folk portraits, circa 1820. The 2 little girls are probably sisters. They wear identical black hair ribbons, gold earrings and blue empire dresses, but each has her own pet dog. The sister holding a book has a spaniel and the sister holding a fruit basket has a spotted terrier. Each portrait measures 21 inches high by 18 inches wide. Later frames.
