Vintage set of eight Eldred Wheeler cherry dining chairs in the Chippendale style of 1740-60. Pristine condition. Please see "Eldred Wheeler / A Collector's Guide" by Emmett W. Eldred, page 235, for reference to these exact chairs. The arm chairs measure 39 inches high to the back, 26.25 inches high to the arms, 19.5 inches high to the crown of the slip seats, 27.5 inches wide, and 16 inches deep. The side chairs each measure 38 inches high to the back, 19.5 high to the crown of the slip seats, 22 inches wide, and 15 inches deep. Wonderful perfectly matched American cherry. Strong and comfortable.
