Fannie Burr oil painting on artist board of cow profiles c1880. This painting by Fannie Burr measures measures 12.5 inches wide by 9 inches tall with a 11.5 x 15 inch frame. Fannie Burr (1858 to 1931) was from Monroe, CT, the daughter of a very prosperous farmer. She graduated from Mt. Holyoke College and the Yale School of Fine Arts. After that, she studied at the Art Students League in NYC. These accomplishments were very rare for a young woman in those days. List in Who Was Who in American Art by Falk. Exhibition at the New Britain Museum of American Art New Britain CT. Catalogue of work produced by The Connecticut Gallery Inc. Acquired directly from an heir to the estate c1880 Estate number 159.
