Fannie Burr (1858 to 1931) was from Monroe, CT, the daughter of a prosperous farmer. She graduated from Mt. Holyoke College and the Yale School of Fine Arts. After that, she studied at the Art Students League in NYC. These accomplishments were very rare for a young woman in those days. List in Who Was Who in American Art by Falk.
