Fantastic vintage pair of Mid Century Modern Reglor gladiator lamps circa 1950-60 in excellent original condition. Dramatically posed, male and female, very Hollywood. Each lamp measures 23 inches high and 34.5 to to of the harp. Bernie Stein and Rena Stein began Regor of California in 1947. Reglor is the combination of the names Rena and her cousin Gloria. Credit for the design inspirations is to be shared with Oscar Vega, a production assistant. Reglor lamps were frequently produced as a male and female pair. The distinctive shades of Reglor lamps were also made in house. Production stopped in 1975 when the Reglor factory in Montebello, California burnedJust in from a Hyde Park, NY, estate. Stunning vintage pair of hand made Italian tole and iron 8 light leaf-and-vine chandeliers in a gilt finish, circa 1930-50. They are of superlative quality. Each measures 40 inches high by 36 inches across and hangs on a 37-inch long hand wrought iron chain. The multiple leaf ceiling cap is 8 inches across. French 19th century miners iron whale oil lamp with rooster stamped Clozet S Etienne. Excellent original condition including the original iron rooster that unscrews to allow access for pouring in the oil. Measures 8 inches high with a round base that measures 5 inches in diam. The handle moves allowing the lamp to always stay level.
