Vice President (1969-1973) Spiro T. Agnew presentation box. This beautifully figured wood box was given to Vice President and Mrs. Agnew on March 25, 1969 by the Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Baltimore (Maryland). The engraved plaque on the lid is sterling silver made by Stieff Silver Company of Baltimore, MD. Excellent condition with working key. Velvet lining. One small strip of brass inlay is missing on the lower back bottom, but no scratches or repairs. Measures 3 x 10 x 13 inches.

Lined with camphor wood; mounted on amber glass bead shape feet; decorated with carved jade applique panels depicting foo dogs and a carved jade medallion top (the medallion having an old repair). An Asian provincial beaded glass ceremonial tiara or diadem, the wire frame strung with multi-shaped, multi-colored grass beads in various artistic configurations; mostly intact, with some missing beads. Probably Chinese. Dimensions" 9" H x 9" W x 2" D.
Fine natural baroque pearls opera length necklace with a 14K gold Italian made swirl clasp. The overall length of the necklace is 32" inches including the clasp (which itself measures 3/4" long). The pearls each average 8mm in diameter. They are a beautiful creamy white hue, all matching in color, size and luster. The clasp is hallmarked 585 for 14K gold.
