A collection of 19th Century Grand Tour Italian intaglios by Giovanni Liberotti in 3 Volumes (LIBEROTTI IMPRONTE, Musei I,II,III) mounted in faux books with leather bindings; carved plaster cameos (102 in total) by a master carver depicting various works of art in world-wide museums & private collections, including those of the Vatican. There are two (2) trays of intaglios in each book, each intaglio numbered and keyed to a hand written syllabus on the inside covers. Generally good condition, considering moderate usage and age. Intaglios are exquisitely executed, with sharp detail. Italy, c. 1830. Book dimensions: 10 1/8" H x 7" W x 2" D.

Two sheet price list has been glued in at center. Woven cover shows edgewear and wear or fraying to spine head and foot and to corners. Woven Title lettering on front cover is still readable - a reasonably bright copy - binder twine is in good condition as well. A nice copy, overall. With extra fold out broad sides or posters from 1903 one showing the bottom and side profile of a Pomo Bottle-neck basket that measures 22 x 14 inches. Marked copyrighted 1903.
