Rare Georgian period tilt top tea or breakfast table. The shaped border boasts 6 deeply dish-carved scallop shells (integral, not applied). The carved center column and tripod base end in ball and claw feet. This rare table measures 29 inches across and 28 inches high. Beautiful surface, solid plumb pudding mahogany, excellent condition.
Antique pair of matching Chinese chinoiserie rosewood arm chairs c1900. This true pair of Chinese Rosewood arm chairs are the most beautiful and well made of this design and period we have ever seen. The solid rosewood stock is strong and all the joints are mortised. The legs,frame and braces were all hand carved. The two back splats are hand painted and have a relief design depicting a man and a woman facing one another. Each chair measures 36 and one half inches to the top of its back,23 inches wide out side at the widest point,19 inches high to the seat,18 inches deep inside,20 and one half inches wide inside and 26 and one half inches to the top of their arms. Set of four antique American rod back Windsor chairs circa 1790-1810. This is a true matched set. Hickory and pine with solid plank seats. Dimensions: 34.5" H to the back x 17.25" H to the seats x 15" D. Each chair is in excellent condition, strong and tight. One chair bears a label on the bottom that states: "Jane Mae Murphy Born 10.1.1776 married John Duncan Born 1.24.1768 on December 15, 1795. This is one of the four chairs alike that was part of their wedding outfit. Their daughter Hannah (named for his her Grandmother Hannah Henry) was born April 26 1798 Married Capt. Thomas Patterson Born Aug.10.1786 on April 30, 1818."
