Period Lighting Fixtures historic reproduction tin double candle wall sconce hand crafted from aged patinated tin. Measures 15 inches high x 10 inches wide x 6 inches deep. Richard D. Scofield made the finest exact copies of period American lighting in the country and was allowed by Historic Deerfield to make copies of its collection. After he died at an early age, the company continued under different ownership but finally closed. The earlier works like this one are coveted by collectors of period Americana. Hand dipped beeswax candle covers with tin leaves and steel shaft. Richard D. Scofield made the finest exact copies of period American lighting in the country and was allowed by Historic Deerfield to make copies of its collection. After he died at an early age, the company continued under different ownership but finally closed.

Measures 17" high x 8" wide at the top/6" wide at the sides x 3.75" deep. Richard D. Scofield made the finest exact copies of period American lighting in the country and was allowed by Historic Deerfield to make copies of its collection. Period Lighting Fixtures by Richard D. Scofield 8 arm chandelier. This a copy of a New York 1750-1775 period chandelier. Turned and painted shaft with brass collar and brass arms. Hand dipped beeswax candle covers. Measures 20" high x 20" long x 31" wide, with a 12" hook. Excellent working condition. Richard D. Scofield made the finest exact copies of period American lighting in the country and was allowed by Historic Deerfield to make copies of its collection. After he died at an early age, the company continued under different ownership but finally closed. The earlier works like this one are coveted by collectors of period Americana. See this exact fixture on page 17 of the original Period Lighting Fixtures catalogue. His catalogue states: "The delicate reverse curve of the scrolled arms that conceal the wires is extremely difficult to make and requires the highest degree of expertise. This accounts for its high price and explains why no other maker has ever attempted to copy it."
