Antique Wedgwood mortar and pestle, stamped 'Wedgwood Best Composition 6.' Very good original condition. Some wear commensurate with age and utility. The pestle measures 9 inches long, and the mortar measures 4.75 inches high by 8 inches wide.
Set of four graduated burl wood bowls. Artisan made. Lathe turned by hand with incised rims. The largest bowl is 4.5 inches high x 9.75 inches across; the second is 8 inches across; the third is 6 inches across; and the smallest is 4 inches across. Burl wood is very dense and brittle. It requires the skill of a master craftsman to hand turn such fine thin bowls without cracking or splitting them.
